A combination of studies from observation and an exploration of ideas. I particularly love going out and drawing the environment.
- Sketching whilst on the beach.
- A sketch done whilst on the way back from the school run in winter.
- Sketching on the beach easter weekend.
- A sketch of the sailing boats. The colours of the boat covers and the whistling sound the boats make in the wind is mesmerising.
- Sketching while the sea came in, slowly cutting the island off from the mainland by burying the causeway.
- So often the beach is windy. It blows any worries away. This is a sketch of the rough sea and the gulls burying themselves in the shingle as protection.
- This sketch is completed out of the window of my favourite cafe. I’m not sure if he’s a captain, but in my stories he is!
- I’ve walked past this house hundreds of times. I love this house, as a child it was my dream house. Symmetrical with a blue door. I still smile when I walk past it.
- I wanted to draw this for the beautiful dancing fish created out of wire. But there is more to this beach hut. It is shared amongst many people and is full of love.
- Eyebrows the Bull Terrier walking along Deal seafront.
